The history of the Plum City Blues Baseball Team dates back to 1989,
when two local avid baseball fans conjured up the idea of starting a
team in a town that had always supported past and present baseball teams.
Kurt Ingli and Steve Milliren got their heads together and started
contacting possible players. Not only players from Plum City were contacted,
but from surrounding towns like Arkansaw, Pepin, and Elmwood.
Plenty of interest was shown from area ball players and the Plum City
community seemed willing to help support an amateur baseball team.
It was decided that the team would be named after the Plum City Legion
Baseball team that was created by Tim Wilson, former baseball coach of
several Blues players in Plum City.
In 1989, the Plum City Blues joined the St. Croix Valley Baseball League.
Since 1989, the Blues have won several league titles and have participated
numerous times in the WBA State Semi-Finals and Finals.
