Papa Joe Neuville - New Blues Head Groundskeeper
PLUM CITY, WI - The Plum City Blues have announced the hiring of "Papa" Joe
Neuville as their new Head Groundskeeper. Neuville served as the Blues
assistant groundskeeper in 1998 and now assumes the day-to-day
responsibility of managing the best baseball field in Western Wisconsin.
Neuville takes over the position after the departure of former Head Groundskeeper
Michael Heit, who will become the assistant groundskeeper for the Pine Cove, IL
Ravens (from the Blue Brick League). Before Neuville came to the Blues in 1998
he worked for Parks and Recreation in Toledo, OH and a private golf course in
San Diego, CA.
A native of Appleton, Wisconsin, Neuville graduated from Notre Dame University,
South Bend, IN in 1989 with a degree in Golf Course Management and Finance.
The Blues Head Groundskeeper position has been an outstanding starting
point for several recent individuals. Former groundskeepers Greg Ingli and
Tom "Deacon" McDonough, were recently elected membership into the National
Groundskeepers Hall of Fame.
