Plum City Legion Park Ground Rules
- All equipment must be kept in dugout and off warning track.
- Players must stay off the tarp. A player may lean on, but not step
or stand on, the tarp while making a catch. Any ball getting
in or under tarp will be considered “dead”.
- Any ball going into the bullpen area will be live and in play
unless it lodges in or under the players’ bench itself or finds
itself in the kids playground near the chicken pit.
- A small creek (krick) surrounds much of the outfield.
Any ball leaving the park in the air and striking the creek is a home run.
Any ball hitting the foul pole above the first wall level (8 ft.) is a
home run.
- Any batted ball going through or under the gate near 3rd base will
be Book Rule.
- The “Break” is that part of the screen which angles toward the press
box - Dead Ball.
- Any ball which lodges in or goes through the screen or the gate
which leads to the umpires’ room or the pasture- Dead Ball.
- One foot on and one foot in the dugout will constitute a
legal catch.
- Book Rule will apply to any fielder falling into the dugout after
making a legal catch.
- Any ball coming in contact with stray cattle is
considered to be foul or out of play. Umpire discretion as to
whether player responsible is allowed to continue in game.
- Any ball hitting the Main St. Junction Bullseye on
the outfield fence entitles batter to one free drink after
the ballgame.
- Any fielder making a legal catch and going into the photographers’
area may throw from that “dead ball” territory,
providing he does not fall down.
- Ivy in right-field is considered in play.
- Any ball striking Ed Heath in the stands is a ground
rule double.
- A foul ball that strikes Howie's Budweiser is an out.
- All other parts are considered live and in play.
